Since independence in 1960, the Central African Republic (CAR) has been racked by political unrest and violence. Sectarian strife over the past four years has torn communities apart, in a civil war that these days receives little coverage in international media. Christian wanted to examine the various layers in the conflict, to see where the hatred was coming from, and to give all sides a voice.
